Becoming a Proposal Planner
Becoming a Proposal Planner is one of the most rewarding jobs. You are bringing pure joy to people! This course is designed to guide you through the eight main steps in order to start your own successful business. We are here to help you and give you some insight into the industry.
The Proposers began many years ago when the industry didn’t exist! Since then we have become the sought after proposal company but this has taken hard work and dedication.
Start by asking yourself these questions: Do you enjoy organization? Do you love making a difference? Do you mind working the occasional weekend? Do you enjoy coming up with new ideas?
We have designed the Romantic Event Academy so that you can take the course and learn everything you need to know in order to start your own proposal company, regardless of the amount of event experience you may or may not have.
It is a rewarding job in so many ways. Firstly, you are helping those in need who want to create something magical for their partner. You can discover and work in so many beautiful spots in your local area. You’re often working in a team who enjoy making a difference just like you do. You regularly get to see pure joy on peoples faces and this is never something to get bored of!

When becoming a proposal planner you want to ensure you have done your research about your local area, find out if there are any other companies that are currently offering a proposal service. If so, it’s not a problem, but make sure you can bring something different to the table and never copy them. Doing this will only slow you down, focus on the service you want to provide. It can be kind to reach out and communicate with them to form a good relationship and not pose as a threat. If there is nobody in your area who has set up a proposal planning business then great news! Focus on how you can launch your business in the best way possible.
- Amazing Almafi Coast proposal by The Proposers. A balcony proposal with a sea view, candles and white florals with a ‘will you marry me?’ sign.
You need to be organized. This is a job that requires a lot of planning, both the big things and the small ones. You need to know what’s going on and feel confident in leading your client. They are putting their full trust in you to succeed at making their big moment one to remember forever.
In events we always work different hours from week to week. You’re regular 9-5 may be possible on the days where you don’t have any proposals but be very aware that often people want their special moment to take place in the evenings or perhaps the weekend.
Coming up with new ideas is creative and the list is endless. You definitely need to be somebody who is willing to explore new ideas and be open to what your client may want or not want, we don’t always love what they do but you have to remember that this is their big moment and you are their support!
In our opinion, becoming a Proposal Planner is a very special job and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
